I am one of those guys who will not let myself or anyone through a plastic garbage or infact any other non-recyclable waste on the streets . But I really love throwing banana, orange skins /seeds on the streets . What a hypocrite person I am . Read on…

So imagine there is a beautiful country in the world. Why it is beautiful ? Because almost all of the man-made products are recyclable ? How ? Read on..

This was India before 1957. When plastic (son of my biggest enemy — Petroleum) made an entry in India. Plastic allowed food to be packaged and sold . Now anyone could print black pepper seeds on the package and sell papaya seeds inside. But what all it has to do with Swachh Bharat ? Read on..

In my opinion Swachh Bharat claims to clean the country of junk and waste which includes proper waste management and segregation. There are other similar claims which fall under this bigger claim so forgive me for an incomplete definition of the same.

Now am going to explain a very complicated thing so if you are one of those who likes simplicity — make one of your complicated friends read this blog and explain it to you in simple words.

Big companies started making huge huge profits by selling food items in plastic bags . With adulteration and cheap packing techniques they aslo sold lot of disorders and ailments to the nation as well.
Now when big corporates make profit, big governments make taxes. So plastic was a big boom for both corporates and governments.
But there are Activists who normally dwell in a beautiful and nature rich country. Activists in India started poking these biggies to stop plastic-usage which was also destroying the farmer and small scale businesses. So lets see how government tackles the ongoing pressure from activists who now also have a very great tool at their disposal — internet.

So government comes with a plan — Swachh Bharat(properly sold by Gandhi photo ). The government said “We will not stop plastic but we will try to clean it for you.” Ohh government will actually not clean, they will have another tax for the scheme and its the people who will clean it because its a big cause for the nation. So all the attention now moves to dumping plastic waste in some remote area rather than totally stopping them.

So the whole problem is like this — Doctor says there is lot of cancer in your body, let me collect all the cancer at one place in your body and then we will remove that part from your body, and boy its an expensive operation so there is a fee attached to it also. (the tax in case of government).

If I were the prime-minister, I would have launched a campaign — “Buy from farmer”. A lot of problems will be solved when you directly buy from farmer.

Bran is not removed from the grains , so you eat fiber and healthy food.

No Adulteration done, direct from the produce.

The urban people are directly in touch with the agriculture industry(which is in a very bad shape right now).

When you directly buy from farmers — they have to be ethical in their produce otherwise you can hold their neck.

Last but not the least — no need for plastic packaging, you can take your jute bags and get grains home from a farmer

Right now Swachh Bharat is in execution and streets are getting cleared. But nobody knows what happens to the plastic-waste after that. Does it get dumped or burnt in some natural habitat or jungle destroying the land even more.

So now I am a changed person, I dont ask people to pickup their waste from the street. I think we as humans should be seeing our waste everyday when we jog or drive through the streets till we all decide to totally ban plastic-packaged food items from our daily lives.
